U Černé Hvězdy Residence
The Residence U Černé hvězdy (At the Black Star) is situated in the historical centre of Prague, about 250 metres from the Charles Bridge and a few minutes walking from the Old Town Square. The building of the residence is proclaimed within the Prague cultural preservation which is from 1993 listed on UNESCO world heritage list.
First reference of the building dates back to the period around 1400. Originally gothic building was divided into two parts in 1538. The left part underwent a broad renaissance reconstruction. In 1622 the parts were again integrated, at this time in the late renaissance style. The interiors pass through the minor changes in classism style. Downstairs and the cellars are almost everywhere ceiled by different types of wagon vaults. Lastly, the attic floor was built after the renaissance gable.
The residence offers a luxurious accommodation in 6 suites, each up to four people. Each suite consists of at least two rooms (usually of the bedroom, living room with sat TV and safety depozit box) and bathroom with hair dryer. Four of them ( De luxe suites) have fully equipped kitchen (fridge, electric cooker, dish washing machine,fast-boiling kettle and toaster). Suites without the kitchen are filled out with a fridge,fast-boiling kettle and toaster.
The residence has not a reception directly in the building but the guests can use a free 24 hours telephone line (in the room) to our reception service , where the full services are provided. (i.e. taxi service, city tours, tickets for cultural events and many others) You can use the telephone for incoming calls as well. The wine bar "Stela Nera" is situated in the basement.
